~Week 14~ Industrial Day

This week was very important week for FYP students because we need to present our projects and the assessor need to judge us. During that time, we feel so nervous because a lot of criteria assessor that have been shown up. Our assessor was En Azlan and Pn. Nulida which is FYP coordinator.

When we shown up to the hall, we set up the booth with our poster. Besides that, we also test our project while waiting for the assessor to come. When we testing the project, sometime it functional well and sometime it not accurate. We become more nervous and pray to Allah that everything will work well when the assessor test our project.

Alhamdulillah, thank to Allah that we manage to present our project well and the project function perfectly. When the assessor announce then first winner of fyp project for diploma student, we was do not believed what the assessor announce because the first winner was us. We are very thankful to Allah for giving us the moment that we wont forget in our life. We would also like to thank to our supervisor which is Pn. Norhaslinawati Binti Ramli that have guide us and give a lot of motivation while doing this project. However, do not forget to our family and friends that have given us a lot of support and motivation during making this project. Finally, thank also to our reader that frequently visit this blog and we love you so much. muahhhh <3

~Week 13~ Poster

In this week, we need to prepare poster for our industrial day. We need to gather the information what need to put into the poster. We also check what the best suitable theme for our poster that related to our product. Beside that, we also meet Pn. Norhaslinawati which is our supervisor to check our poster detail. Finally, after she check and agreed with our poster, we print out the poster and save it for industrial day.

InsyaAllah we are going to do our best for Industrial Day ^_^

~Week 12~ FYP Briefing and Draft Report

This week, we need to attend the FYP briefing at TTL so we can get the information about incoming event which is Industrial Day. Beside that, we also be informed that we need to prepare draft for our final year project report. We also need to prepare the report immediately because the due date for draft report in week 15.

~Week 11~ Casing and Prototype Installation

After all of our circuit is completely functional. we install the casing and prototype to our product. We keep find idea and survey from internet how to make our prototype looked. Finally, we manage to think the best idea for our prototype.

(Prototype Installation)

This week, we also testing if either our circuit functional in prototype or not. We hope the circuit will work on prototype.

~Week 10~ Combined with GPS tracker

After troubleshooting and our circuit completely functional. we combined our transmitter with GPS tracker. We also need to test our GPS tracker if it functional or not.

~Week 8-9~ Troubleshooting Circuit

In week 8, we troubleshooting the circuit because our circuit do not function at all. We trying our best to study the circuit and finally we manage to solve buzzer receiver circuit which  before this it not sound at all but after the troubleshooting we manage to make it sound. However, we did not manage to solve another problem which is transmitter and receiver signal. The receiver still make a sound when near the transmitter. In week 9, we refer to lecturer and technician to guide us solve this problem. Finally, after referring to them, we manage to solve this problem.

~Week 7~ Construct Transmitter And Receiver

"Transmitter"

The circuit diagram for a single transmitter units is shown below, current is the supply to the circuit from a 3V "coin" cell B1, via on/off switch S2 and diode D1. The diode provide reverse polarity protection.

It is best to use the specific schottky device which introduce a smaller forward voltage drop, and therefore loss, then a conventional silicon diode(0.2V rather than 0.7V approximately). Capacitors C2 provide a small reverse of energy and prevent the supply voltage from fluctuating. This stabilises the operation.

A low power 7555 timer, IC1, is setup in a standard astable (pulse generator) configuration while switched on, this produces a continues train of on-off pulses at its output, pin 3.
This Choice of resistor R1, R2 and Capacitors C1 provides one pulse per second for one of transmitter (Unit A) and one pulse every 1.2 second for the other one (unit B). In fact, the timing are slightly longer but it help to consider them as above.

Beside that, The on time are much longer than the off one in each case. The purpose of these will be explained presently.

"Receiver"

The complete circuit for the receiver section is shown below. This draw approximately 3mA, so a most substantial battery pack is needed than for transmitter. While the buzzer WD1 is sounding, the current rises to sound 6mA.

The battery pack use in the prototype consist of four AAA size alkaline cell. If AA size cell could be accommodated inside the case, these would provide a doubling of operation time.
